As one of the nation’s leading organizations fighting social isolation, we have learned that we all need someone to listen and care ‒ and this could not be more true for our vulnerable Americans during this critical time. With your help, we can make a difference. We are looking for new volunteers to help us fulfill the growing need for buddy check-in calls to our senior members. Whether you have 30 minutes or 3 hours in your day to dedicate to this effort, join us in this effort that is proven to lift spirits and relieve stress for “every buddy” involved!

1) How much time does this volunteer program take?
We are appreciative of whatever time you can give, whether that’s 30 minutes, a few days a week, or 3 hours every day!
2) What communities do you serve?
We support neighborhoods across the country. We will typically pair you with someone locally, but in some cases, you will have an opportunity to talk with someone in a new community.
3) Do I need to have any prior health or social services experience?
No prior experience necessary; just a passion for meeting new people and helping others. We will set you up for success and provide you with everything you need during your training session.

Our Story: Building A Community
About Wider Circle
In 2015, Wider Circle set out to find a better way to help Americans thrive at any age. For some, that means easier access to transportation to get where we need to go. For others, it’s doing what we love while making new connections. Or maybe we have a health issue and need support from someone who’s been there. Today, Wider Circle, in partnership with equally passionate community sponsors and health plan partners, is proud to bring its unique neighborhood health programs to more than 135 communities.
