Executive Previously Served as Head of Programs and Partnerships at the Organization

Redwood, CA – October 6, 2020 Wider Circle, an innovative community care program working with health plans to connect neighbors for better health, today announced that Krystee Knapic has been promoted to head of membership. Having previously served as the company’s head of programs and partnerships, Krystee is a seasoned expert in navigating the complexities of building, growing and managing the company’s extensive home visit program. This background should prove beneficial, as she takes the helm of both health plan and member engagement operations moving forward.

Wider Circle was launched around the mission of fostering connections among neighbors to promote social interaction and improve health. Leveraging the power of trusted relationships, Wider Circle connects health plan members with familiar neighbors to combat loneliness while informing, supporting and motivating one another. Since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has been able to move the majority of its programs swiftly and seamlessly, including the home visit initiative and operations, online in compliance with social distancing guidelines.

In this new role, Krystee will now hold responsibility for managing member engagement and operations in California. This includes leading a team of field managers and facilitators who support the organization’s Connection For Life, Buddy Call and Home Visit programs, which involves member outreach to ensure that they are aware of, and have access to, available resources like food while maintaining the neighbor to neighbor community feel.

“Krystee has had a tangible impact on absolutely every facet of Wider Circle’s operations since she became part of our team last year,” said Darin Buxbaum, chief operating officer, Wider Circle. “Whether it is the boots on the ground coordination of our rapidly growing home visit programs or developing and leading facilitator and ambassador training programs, she brings a positive attitude and a great work ethic to a highly demanding position. As such, this promotion to director of membership is extremely well deserved.”

Prior to joining Wider Circle in January 2019, Krystee served as the corporate director of resident services and programs at Benchmark Senior Living where she managed and supervised all memory care operations and resident program development in 58 senior living communities. She previously served as the director of engagement at the organization.

“Since the first day I joined Wider Circle in early 2019, I have thrown myself into the organization’s efforts to support our most vulnerable populations at the community level,” said Krystee Knapic. “I am extremely grateful for this promotion, and I hope to have an even greater impact on the individuals that rely on the social determinants of health resources, companionship and support that we are committed to supplying day in and day out.”
