At Wider Circle, we know that true well-being starts with human connection. Every day, we witness the power of community—how it uplifts, supports, and empowers individuals to take charge of their health and their future.

Stories from the Circle is our way of sharing real moments of impact from the people we serve. These inspiring stories highlight how community-driven programs are strengthening connections, improving engagement, and driving better health outcomes for members like yours.

We hope today’s story reminds you of the profound difference that a caring and connected community can make. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!

After running a successful mortgage company for over a decade, John faced unexpected challenges that forced him to close his business. But John’s toughest battle was yet to come.

Years later, John woke up from a coma and began a long road to recovery. From relying on a wheelchair to learning to walk again, to managing a colostomy bag to regaining independence – every step forward required immense determination.

Through it all, John found strength in his Wider Circle community. His dedication to showing up, supporting others, and staying engaged made him an essential part of our circle. At one of our largest gatherings, he volunteered to sign in attendees—proving that even in difficult times, community is the solution.

And the Circle keeps giving. Most recently, John faced another setback—the need to find a new place to live. At a Wider Circle event on January 31st, John received vital housing resources, and he was approved for a new apartment the very next day! This life-changing moment wasn’t luck—it was the power of people coming together.

John’s journey is a testament to the strength we find in each other. His story reminds us that when we show up for one another, challenges become victories, and hope becomes reality.

Thank you, John – for proving that together, we can overcome anything.
