Your Community. Your Resources. Your May
May is full of simple ways to help you feel better, save money, and stay connected to people who care. Whether you want support, something fun to do, or tools to take care of your health, Wider Circle is here with you. Everything below is designed to be easy, helpful, and part of your everyday life. Let’s take a look at what is waiting for you.

Stronger Minds, Happier Days
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it is all about taking care of your mind just like your body. Feeling sad, stressed, or overwhelmed can happen to anyone. A simple check in, like a depression screening, can help you understand how you are feeling and what support may help.
You do not have to figure it out alone. Wider Circle is hosting events where you can learn easy ways to manage stress, boost your mood, and talk with others who get it. These are safe, welcoming spaces where your voice matters and your story is heard.

Utility bills can rise fast, especially when the seasons change. If your electric, gas, or water bill feels too high, help may be closer than you think. Wider Circle can connect you to local programs that may lower your costs or offer support.
Our Resource Finder makes it easy to get started:
- Text “hello” to WIDER (94337)
- Follow the simple prompts
- Tell us what you need
- We will take it from there
In just a few steps, you can get connected to real help in your area.

Diamond’s Story: Finding Strength Through Community
After a housing setback, Diamond was facing isolation, depression, and unmanaged diabetes. Everything started to change when she was invited to a Wider Circle event and decided to show up. That first step led to real connection, healthier habits, and steady progress. Over time, she lost 120 pounds, improved her health, and rebuilt her confidence.
As Diamond says: “Wider Circle found me when I didn’t even realize how much I needed it. ”Today, she is an Ambassador helping others take that same first step. Her message is simple: “We just got to keep moving.”

A Simple Walk That Can Shift Your Whole Day
A walk does not have to be long or perfect to make a difference. Even 5 to 10 minutes of movement can help boost your mood, clear your mind, and give your body a gentle reset. You can walk outside, around your home, or even just down the block. Try to notice small things as you go like the air, sounds, or movement around you. These small moments help bring your focus back to yourself and can make the day feel a little lighter.
Walking with others can make it even better. If you already have a group, this is a great time to reconnect. If not, it is also a simple way to start building one in your community.
