Fighting social isolation
As one of the nation’s leading organizations fighting social isolation, Wider Circle is extending its trusted community care model to provide critical social support for vulnerable Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic. By partnering with health plans and provider groups like yours, we are able to bring our resources and expertise to all communities via a full suite of programs already proven to improve the physical and emotional health of seniors sheltering in place due to COVID-19.
Health check-ins with a trusted peer
Wider Circle staff and member ambassadors conduct one-on-one weekly welfare checks based on your members’ communication preferences (phone, email, online, etc.). We also empower members to help each other through a buddy-check program - giving members a sense of purpose and countering feelings of helplessness and anxiety.
We have quickly moved all of our peer-to-peer support groups to an extremely senior-friendly platform that anyone can access by phone or computer, making it easy for members to connect with one another and share resources. Meetings are conducted by culturally competent, trained facilitators.
Warm and welcoming staff are standing by Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm PT to provide health education and support.
Medication & food delivery
Members can sign up for a dedicated Wider Circle volunteer to safely deliver medications and food supplies to their doorstep. We also work with local food pantries for those in need.
Telehealth training and set up
We will register and teach members how to access telehealth services so that they can stay safe at home while accessing the care they need.
Together, we can and will defeat COVID-19.
